Attractions and the Local Area

One of the main attractions that Blackpool offers which other seaside towns do not are the 3 piers. These are wooden walkways that stretch out over the sea and you can find activities to do on them from riding on fairground rides to seeing cabaret style shows. There is also an amusement arcade attached to each pier. They are a suitable location to visit whether the weather is good or not as there are plenty of buildings to seek shelter in if you need to.

Just a short walk from the flats is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach.  This is an exciting theme park which is said to be the most ride intensive park in the country.  With offers on wristbands and season tickets, you may be able to get a great deal.

Sandcastle Waterpark.  This is the second most popular waterpark in the country after Alton Towers.  It offers excellent disability and family facilities as well as takeaways and secure lockers.  If you forget your swimming gear, don’t worry as they also have a shop on the premises.

There is plenty to do in the local area when you Visit Blackpool. Whether you want a free or cheap day out, or if you have come with plenty of spending money, you’re sure to find something fun nearby.
